Context
Over the course of one year, I developed and operated a B2B web platform for kamera24 that distributed raw audio and video press material. It gave media partners and press agencies secure access to content through an editorial news system, file processing, alert automation, billing, a download portal, and a video platform.
Challenge
The platform had to address several requirements at once: controlled access to protected press material, automated processing of audio and video files, notifications for new content, and an integrated billing system for material usage. All of this needed to run reliably in day-to-day B2B operations.
Implementation
Symfony, Doctrine, and Twig provided the backend foundation for user administration, access control, and billing logic. Node.js and ffmpeg handled media processing, including automated transcoding, thumbnail generation, and format conversion. Docker provided reproducible environments.
My contribution
I contributed to the Doctrine data models, access control, editorial system, ffmpeg-based media pipeline, Twig templates, and frontend adaptations.
